Anthony's pizza was never about shortcuts. When Anthony discovered the transformative power of a real coal-fired oven — reaching temperatures of 900°F and producing a perfectly charred, crispy crust unlike anything else — he knew he had found his calling. In 2009, he opened the doors at 2733 Paper Mill Rd and never looked back.

Anthony Russo opens the very first Anthony's coal fired pizza location at 2733 Paper Mill Rd, Wyomissing, PA. Armed with a single coal-fired oven, a family recipe, and an unshakeable belief in real fire and fresh flavor, the journey begins.

2011

First Regional Award

Just two years in, anthonys pizza earns its first "Best Pizza in Berks County" recognition from local food critics. The award puts Anthony's on the map and brings a wave of new guests eager to taste the coal-fired difference.

Menu Expansion

Chef Maria Deluca joins the team and brings her Culinary Institute expertise to expand the menu beyond pizza. Signature pastas, fresh salads, and coal-roasted wings become overnight favorites, cementing anthony's coal fired as a full dining destination.
